![]() ![]() The sway bar bushings actually looks ok as I do give all the rubbers a bit of Waine stop leak spraying from time to time. Sprayed the white grease into the shock absorbers bearings and vualla! No more creaks. The alternative is to strip the front suspension down and replace the bearings due to the grease drying out, I know which option I would choose every time! Older tubs don't have this, and foam or mortar in contact with the surface will delaminate it. The Universal Tubs HD Series Walk-In Whirlpool Bath Tub is much pricier than a typical bathtub, but it boasts one of the lowest prices you’ll find for a walk-in tub, which can easily run from 5,000 to 10,000. To do this I turn the steering full lock and then 'pop' the bonnet, using a large flat screwdriver I gently prise the driver's side black rubber/plastic cover that sits on top of the strut on the inner wing, then using the straw to spray grease onto the bearings (it's a bit hit and miss at first and you may need to do this on more than one occasion to hit the spot by angling the straw downwards slightly.) I then turn the steering to the opposite lock and proceed to do the same on the passenger side. They said that if the stringer is properly installed, foam or mortar can be placed below the tub, but only if it the tub is relatively new- apparently, they have added a new layer to the bottom of the tub that has a 'waffle' appearance to it. Walk-in bathtubs allow people who have mobility challenges to enter the tub through a door instead of having to climb over the side. Reason 2: Uneven Bottom Surface of the Bathtub The other reason may be the uneven condition of the bottom surface (bathtub floor) of the bathing tub. I kid myself thinking that some day the tub will. When the bathing tub is situated on that uneven floor surface (flexing floor), then that tub may create small movement when you stand in it. Why would these noises start all of a sudden The caulk on the tile work is kinda falling apart in places but isnt too bad but water could be getting into the walls and reaching the floor. Standing water, hidden mold, and squeaky tubs OH MY These are just a few of the horrific realties you could face if your tub liner installation goes awry. I also use White lithium spray grease to lubricate the bearings that sit on top of the front shock absorbers, this cures the creaking when pulling away slowly as 'shavestick' mentions in his post. A few days ago standing in the tub/shower I heard creaking noises as I moved around for the first time. Here's What Can Happen If Bathtubs Aren't Installed Correctly gregvancom 163K subscribers Subscribe 375 189K views 7 years ago Click on this link for more. This stuff softens/rejuvenates the rubber components and also got rid of the creaking when driving over speed humps. Do not try to make a flat bed of the mortar.Terry likes to place a bunch of piles of the stuff spaced around, then push the tub into it until it is level. Normally, there should be a slight gap between the shower pan and the floor tile. ![]() I am a bit heavy - have been for years, but still. Sometimes, squeaks are caused where the floor tile meets the shower pan. The duplex unit is about 10 years old, there is a crawl space under the house. This also happened to on our 2007 Yaris, I used 'Wurth Rubber care on all rubber bushings and cv boots under the car. I just moved into a duplex and the tub (steel) not only creaks but I can feel it flexing under my feet when I'm standing in it, especially on the drain end of the tub. ![]()
